    INTERVIEW ME
    Personal Statement

I am looking for a role in Retail/Customer Service that will allow me to grow and further develop my skills and experience.
I am a keen individual who can accurately follow instructions and work effectively as a team member or on my own. I am flexible, capable of working in a busy environment, and willing to learn. I have the ability to work under pressure and I feel that I am an excellent communicator.

    Work experience

Retail Assistant                Clintons Cards       November 2014 – January 2015
Serving the customers both at the till and on the shop floor. I processed cash and card transactions and take pride in my ability to deliver a very high level of customer service. I also took in stock deliveries and sorted them ready for display in the shop and I also completed display work making sure that all stock is clearly labelled and presented neatly for the customers. I have also proved my worth when being asked to obtain certain items from height as I was the only staff member who can move these without a ladder, proving my ability to be an excellent team player and a valued member of staff.

Restaurant Assistant         House of Fraser                  November – December 2013
This was a temporary Christmas position where I worked in the restaurant greeting customers, serving food and drink, waiting on tables and cleaning of the kitchen.

    Voluntary Retail Assistant     Barnardo’s            July 2013 – December 2013
My main responsibilities included using the till, cash handling, serving customers, stock taking, stock rotation, window dressing and general cleaning of the store. I have also been entrusted with taking care of the store and being in charge of up to four other volunteers when the manager had to leave the store to run errands.

Shop Assistant                       Heron Foods                                     September 2012
This was a work experience placement where my main responsibilities were stacking shelves, keeping the store tidy and organised, and helping customers with any problems or questions they had. This developed my confidence and my customer service and satisfaction skills.

Counter Clerk                   Post Office Counters Plc                          May 2009
This was a work experience placement where I was trained by full time staff in all aspects of counter service provided by the Royal Mail postal service, including customer service, advice on products and services available, stocktaking and auditing, and security of documentation and currency.
